Anhui Province

Anhui Province – visiting Hongcun village in the south of Anhui is like stepping into a time
machine. Along with Xidi, a neighboring ancient village, Hongcun will remind travelers of the
movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Why? Because many scenes of that gorgeous
movie were filmed here. No movie sets could possibly reproduce the majesty and beauty of
these Ming and Qing Dynasty villages. Strolling along moon pond is like experiencing a
dream..

Jiangxi Province, Nanchang City

Jiangxi Province, Nanchang City -the Teng Wang Pavillion in Nanchang City is quite a site
to behold! Standing nearly 60 meters high, this tower, along with its breathtaking gardens,
stands as a stunning example of ancient architecture and design. This pavilion is especially
lovely in snowy, winter months.

Jiangxi Province, Jiujiang City

Jiangxi Province, Jiujiang City – a city whose name literally translates to ‘nine rivers’ will
probably have great views. And Jiujiang doesn’t disappoint! Named as one of China’s most
livable cities, Jiujiang boasts mountains to the south, a quiet waterfront and of course the
Yangtze River, and its famous bridge.

Man Mo Temple

Man Mo Temple – the Man Mo Temple is located in Hong Kong, in the south of China. (This
picture was taken inside that temple one afternoon). Traveling in Zhejiang Province one
spring holiday, I met an older man who asked me to visit the temple and place an offering for
his son, who was studying at university in a neighboring province. I learned later that this
temple was often visited by people worshiping literature god Man Tai or Man Cheong.

Fujiang City

Fujiang City – Zhejiang Province, located in the southeast of China, is a land of many
famous aspects of Chinese culture. Yueju opera, different varieties of dialects, silk exports,
its own special cuisine, and tea. Specifically, Longjing or dragon well tea, is considered the
most prestigious tea in China. Having a cup of this delightful tea in this charming city is a
wonderful way to spend an evening.

Xiamen City, Fujian Province

Xiamen City, Fujian Province – considered a very livable city, as well as a top leisure
destination, Xiamen gives a vibe both modern and yet intimate and charming. The skyline in
the evening is quite a sight, and side trips to the Jinmen islands are a special treat.

Zhejiang Province, Zhoushan City

Zhejiang Province, Zhoushan City – Dinbhai Harbor and the surrounding islands are really
lovely, especially in the late spring and early fall months. The waterfront gives one a
wonderful view of the area’s islands and the bay. Visiting local fish markets can be
impressive – this is one of the top seafood regions in the entire country.
